Cocamatic & Stern
We are a Business Group founded by Mr. Alfonso Palomares in the 1960s. Pioneer in the recreational sector in Spain. Starting with the installation of recreational machines in hospitality establishments in Castile and Leon.
Throughout our history we have offered products and services at the forefront of the sector. Providing value from the manufacture, distribution and operation of arcade machines. Our constant search for innovative products has led us to establish agreements with major global manufacturers in the sector.
Pinball has always been a hallmark of our Group. Being distributors of models from different Spanish manufacturers since our inception. And manufacturing our own machines in the 80s. In addition, for 20 years we have been the exclusive distributors for Spain and Portugal of Stern Pinball, Inc., the only global manufacturer of pinballs that became operational after the crisis of the late 90s.
Currently our activity is extended in different sectors. Maintaining pinball as one of our business lines. Offering sale, spare parts and repair of Stern Pinball machines.

It all started here
1962
At a time of great opportunities in Spain, the first arcade machines are installed in hostelry establishments. Pinballs, Jukeboxes, table football… The journey of our company begins with the commitment to the operation of these machines in bars in Castile and Leon. We soon become distributors of the main manufacturers in Spain.
Game Regulations in Spain
1977
A new stage begins. Regulation to the gaming sector arrives. And, with it, fiscal and administrative regulations. The recreational industry develops during the 70s at high speed. And the manufacture of pinball machines in Spain is a fact. Big brands appear that make Spain one of the main markets for this type of machine along with the US and Italy. Pinball is an important engine in the development of this industry. And its acceptance is growing in bars and entertainment venues.
Own production
1986
The rise of video games and pinball machines consolidates the brand. Comercial Cocamatic is born, a company specialized in the commercialization of articles of own manufacture and importation of products of brands such as Neo-Geo, Sega, Taito… In the early 90’s, American pinball prevails. And the industry in that country undergoes a major estructuring with mergers, acquisitions, closings and new company openings. At the end of this decade Williams, the last manufacturer that remained, closes.
Exclusive Stern Distributors
2000
Cocamatic signs with Stern Pinball, Inc., the exclusive distribution agreement for Spain and Portugal. The American firm launches in 2000 the first model of the “new” era of pinball: Striker Xtreme. With this model the collaboration between both companies begins. Stern becomes the only manufacturer of pinballs in the World, a situation that has remained until just over 4 years ago.
